Razzle Dazzle

NOTHING—and we mean nothing—can ruinSavvy’s day like a ripped pair of pantyhose, so maybe it’s time she chucks the cheapies and stocks up at B’Dazzle. What started 23 years ago as a home-based hosiery business has turned into a brick-and-mortar boutique that still offers stockings and socks from the likes of DKNY, Donna Karan and Happy Socks. But now, owner (and mom-of-six) Lisa Seidel has expanded the biz into selling trendy kids’ clothing, including some cool European designers. “No one believes all used to be in my basement,”says Seidel of her 3,000-square-foot Pikesville store that opened last spring. “We used to be packed like sardines!” Look for a 12-foot wall of headbands, fashionforward finds by Catmimi, little couture for boys and girls by Parisian brand Jean Bourget and
whimsical streetwear by Kenzo (yep, it looks just like the grown-up styles). What a perfect present for your Mini Me. As for those cheap pantyhose that started the whole thing? They can still be found lurking the shelves, too. 303 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, 410-334-5635

Something New

Savvy loves sauntering by Francesca’s Atelier, dreaming about the perfect party to wear one of those fab gowns. (The new Badgley Mischka numbers are sure to sparkle this holiday season.) Now, she can dream about walking down the aisle, too, with Francesca’s Bridal coming to Green Spring Station this month—bringing the talents of custom designers Eugenia and Paula Varsalona, plus lines that are exclusive in the region, such as Alyne and Matthew Christopher. “Green Spring Station is a perfect fit for our second location, since the stores are primarily owned by women and cater to women,” says Francesca Ripple, known for dressing brides with impeccable taste for a sweet 16 years. 2360 W. Quint
The Quintessential Woman

For the last 10 years, The QG has been coiffing, tailoring and otherwise catering to the needs of some of Baltimore’s finest men. Now, well-heeled ladies can get in on the act, thanks to the department store’s brand new women’s floor, which boasts a well-edited selection of styles for both traditional-with-a-twist and contemporary tastes. Stock up on Peter Millar cashmere sweaters (revenge for any golf widow), quilted jackets and knit dresses by Barbour and J Brand skinny jeans. (Savvy loves the new camo print!) Plus, pick up a gift for your man at the same time. Did we mention you can get a HydraFacial, hot stone massage or paraffin mani/pedi after your shopping spree? Done and done. 31 S. Calvert St., 410-685-7428, theqg.com

Pillow
Pillow Talk

Savvy was delighted to realize these impossibly adorable Friendly Fauna pillows she added to her Anthropologie.com cart were designed by 2012 MICA grad Caleb Luke Lin, who works at Trohv in Hampden. Lucky break: Anthro scouts discovered the artist’s work on his Tumblr site last fall. Lin’s interest in biodiversity fuels his fanciful designs.“I watch a lot of nature documentaries,” he says. “David Attenborough is a personal hero of mine. I spend a lot of time researching factual information to depict.” The pillows are sold exclusively on the website, but also look for Lin’s 2016 calendar featuring rare animals with facts about their habitats in stores and online. anthropologie.com
