After a car drove headlights-first into Farmstead Grill last year, the property owners needed to, well, rebrand the space. And the cocksure Iron Rooster was more than ready to move in, opening its second location in less than a year. The breakfast-all-day concept is a good fit for the barn-like building at Canton Crossing. Co-owner Kyle Algaze says he “jumped at the opportunity” to move into the neighborhood, which he and his partners had scoped out before opening in Annapolis last winter. While the large, airy interior is in stark contrast to the cozy 110-year-old site near City Dock in Annapolis, both restaurants seat around 170 people. “We’ll bring the vintage feeling to it, just as we did in Annapolis,” says Algaze. Mostly from the food, including “homemade pop tarts and chicken pot pie, all that good stuff.” Plus a full bar, with bacon bloody Marys, the Raging Rooster (lemon vodka and blue Curacao) and regional beers. 3721 Boston St. 410-762-2100
