Fundraiser: Kentucky Nights
Enjoy Kentucky Nights: A Bourbon Tasting at Washington Tavern. Sip offerings from 10 different distilleries and snack on food pairings. The best part? It all benefits the Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital.

FRIDAY 24

Convention: American Craft Show
Hold on to your glitter glue, Charm City—the biggest indoor craft show in America is coming to town. Featuring more than 650 vendors, the 2017 American Craft Show celebrates the 75th anniversary of the American Craft Council with hordes of homemade goods and maker-based programming. Cases in (needle) point: “Hip Pop,” a curated collection of emerging artists and their work; “Style Slam,” a stylist-organized fashion presentation explaining how to integrate craft-show pieces into one’s wardrobe; “Let’s Make,” interactive demonstrations in which participants create their own work; and “Make Room: Modern Design Meets Craft,” an exhibition showcasing the relationship between art and craft as interpreted in homes throughout the ages. For the solely retail-minded, the juried show also includes for-sale jewelry, clothing, furniture, home décor and more, all housed in the ever-adaptable Baltimore Convention Center.
Tickets: $16 for a one-day pass, $36 for a three-day pass. Feb. 24-26.

Comedy: Lewis Black
Political comedians have been having a field day of late. And no one’s more rant-ready than the perma-angry Lewis Black, coming to Baltimore as part of his Rant, White & Blue Tour.
Tickets: $59-$97. 8 p.m. at the Hippodrome.

Theater: The White Snake
In the ancient Chinese fable of The White Snake, serpentine spirits White Snake and Green Snake transform into humans to dramatic and unexpected effect.
Feb. 24-March 26 at Center Stage’s Head Theater.

Opera: Susannah
In this Tennessee-based opera by Carlisle Floyd, young and beautiful Susannah becomes a pariah in her town simply for her aesthetic appeal.

SATURDAY 25

Party: Small Foods Party
If you’ve been on Facebook recently, you may be familiar with the odd-but-adorable tiny food trend. The concept is simple: Chefs work to create miniscule versions of traditional dishes like wontons, subs and cupcakes. The littler, the better!
Tickets: $5-10. 6:30 p.m. at the American Visionary Arts Museum.

Dance: Philadanco
For nearly 50 years, the Philadelphia Dance Company, more commonly known as PHILADANCO, has been inspiring audiences with a unique blend of African-American traditional dance, athletic ballet, jazz and modern styles. Beyond near-perfect performances and intricate choreography, however, the company prides itself on its proclivity for cultural exchange and art as activism, often performing before diverse audiences with the intention of “breaking barriers and building bridges.”
Tickets: $23-$33. 8 p.m. at the Gordon Center.

Celebration: Verizon Black History Month Open House
Enjoy free access to the Reginald F. Lewis museum, speakers, crafts, performances and more at this annual sponsored event.

SUNDAY 26

Food: 12th Annual Friends of the Light House GumboFest
Get ready for Mardi Gras with this spicy festival, a charity gumbo cook-off benefiting the Light House, an organization working for homelessness prevention.
Tickets: $30. 1 p.m. at DoubleTree Hotel in Annapolis.

Event: Monster Jam
It’s Monster Jam…need we say more? Everyone’s favorite crash-boom bash returns to Royal Farms Arena with its unique brand of big-wheeled, bad-to-the-bone entertainment. See favorite trucks like Grave Digger, El Toro Loco and Blue Thunder do their trademark damage with crushing stunts, tricks and more (much to the delight of kids of all ages). Sound fun? Then don’t delay—tickets are going quickly, so ensure your seat soon.
