When Baltimore native Allen Katz announced his Mister Katz Rock & Rye, I was beside myself with anticipation. My gosh, does it deliver! This low-octane spirit has all of the character of a young rye whiskey enhanced with candy sugar, cinnamon, sour cherry and a touch of citrus.
Shake off the winter’s chill and warm up with this bright and brilliant hot toddy!

1.5 ounces Mister Katz Rock & Rye
8 ounces hot water
An organic black tea bag
Fresh lemon and orange slices

In your favorite mug, steep an organic black tea in hot water to desired richness. Add Mister Katz Rock & Rye. Garnish with large slices of fresh lemon and orange to taste. Sip and savor.
