Faux Real

By Kay Wicker

These days, Target is just about everyone’s everything store—for grocery essentials, on-trend clothing, high-end appliances, tech gadgets, books and more. With their home décor department recently coming to resemble West Elm, it’s not surprising to find popular pieces carried in other stores—but for so much less. Take the potted faux succulents ($15), for example, which are little stylish tufts of green in glass and wooden planters. These plants may be plastic, but they look vibrant and gloriously alive. They also come in a wide variety of “species,” and can add immediate personality to a desk or infuse a drab kitchen with an almost natural vibe. Green thumbs need not apply. target.com
