Calling all queen bees! Owings Mills’ Waxing Kara, a provider of honey and wax-based home, kitchen and beauty products, will open the doors to its Honey House tonight at 5:30. Though the brick-and-mortar has been open for a few months in the Metro Centre, tonight’s event serves as the official celebration of  the new space…and of all things bee! The free open house will include samples of honey products, a lesson on the importance of bees from founder and keeper Kara Brook and even a chance to make your own potted pollinator garden (be sure to RSVP!).

The stunning space is definitely buzzing. In addition to the retail showroom, Honey House serves as the lab, production and packaging center for the ultra-popular products (which are sold everywhere from local boutiques to Anthropologie and ModCloth). Stop by and check out a delicious selection of honeys and lollipops, stock up on body scrubs and butters or just go buzz-wild and fill your home with wax-based candles and artwork. You’ll bee glad you did.

The event runs from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Honey House at 10209 Grand Central Avenue in Owings Mills. To RSVP for your pollinated garden, call 410-363-2200 or email [email protected].
