FRIDAY 7

Theater: A Ruby Cabaret
Support the Baltimore Choral Arts Society at their annual fundraiser. The evening will include performances, dinner, and silent and live auctions to benefit the organization’s education and outreach programs.
Tickets available before event. 6:30pm at the Grand Lodge Ballroom in Hunt Valley.

Events: Kinetic Procession & Bike Glow Rally
Enjoy the sights of sparkling performances and post-industrial art of Light City, then join other cyclists in a dazzling group ride through the neighborhoods to see more lights. Come early to decorate your bike with LED string lights.
Free. 8pm at Maryland Science Center.

Music: Baltimore School for the Arts Benefit Concert & Art Show
Baltimore School for the Arts presents a benefit concert and art show to help support young Baltimore artists and Baltimore city public schools. Jazz string ensembles and bands will perform classical pieces, and a silent auction featuring the visual artwork of BSA students will follow.
Tickets $10-20. 8pm at An die Musik Live!

Theater: Semiramide
The Baltimore Concert Opera presents Gioachino Rossini’s “Semiramide,” sung in Italian with projected English subtitles.  Before each performance, there will be a free pre-performance lecture.
Tickets $28-72. April 7 at 7:30pm, April 9 at 3:00 pm at the Engineers Club.

Art: Out of Order
Spend an evening in Oz with the 20th annual benefit at Maryland Art Place. This year, their “Emerald City” themed event will feature an exhibition, silent auction, live performances, a costume contest and an open bar.
Tickets $40-$45. 7pm at Maryland Art Place.

SATURDAY 8

Art: Hueman Annual Benefit Fashion Show
Join MICA students in a conversation and presentation of color, clothing, and diversity. This event encourages audience members to consider the impact of color on society. Proceeds from the fashion show will support MICA students with diversity programming and other pursuits.
Tickets $20. 8pm 8 at Brown Center.

Event: Baltimore Memory Ball
Spend an evening at the 11th Annual Alzheimer’s Association Memory Ball and see local celebrities and community leaders bust a move. Join the judges and cheer for your favorite dancing duo—all proceeds from the ball will help fund critical research for a cure for Alzheimers.
Tickets $350. 7pm at Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.

Event: Light City Finale Fireworks by Grucci
Celebrate the end of Light City festival with a dazzling display of fireworks.
Free. Midnight at Maryland Science Center.

Art: Slow Art Day
The Walters Art Museum presents a slow and steady special event in its Dutch galleries. Participants will have 20-30 minutes to examine one piece of fascinating art before meeting up with others for a moderated discussion. This event hopes to give art appreciators the time to fully observe, and reflect upon the work.
Free at the Walters.   

 Event: Bianca Del Rio
Bianca Del Rio, the season 6 winner of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” comes to Baltimore! Dubbed “the Joan Rivers of the Drag World,” by the New York Times, Bianca is known for her unfiltered jokes and hilarious one-liners.
Tickets $37.50-$199. 8pm at Rams Head Live.

Art: In a Dignified Fashion
Terrault presents recent work by Devin N. Morris, influenced by queer identity, family ties, and the American Black experience and opening with a reception and readings by the artist.
Free. Reception 7-10pm on April 8. Exhibit Saturdays 1-5pm, 4/8-5/6 at Terrault.

SUNDAY 9

Art: Minas Konsolas: S E Q U E N C E
Bismark/Wilson Gallery presents a new exhibit of paintings by Minas Konsolas.
Opening Reception 1-4pm. Exhibit 4/9-5/21 at Bismark/Wilson Gallery.

Food: Maize y Cacao at Clavel
Stop by Clavel Mezcaleria for a special seven-course evening of corn and raw cacao, presented in partnership with Jinji Fraser and Jorge Sobral Martins.

Books: Truffle Boy
Join author Ian Purkayastha and chef Doug Wetzel at the Towson Branch Library for a discussion of Purkayastha’s book, Truffle Boy: My Unexpected Journey Through the Exotic Food Underground, which follows Ian all over the world as he discovers new foods, tastes, and adventures.
